Material y M\u00e9todos: Estudio retrospectivo de las ces\u00e1reas que cursaron con aton\u00eda uterina durante la intervenci\u00f3n, desde el 1 de enero de 1990 al 31 de diciembre de 2003, en el Hospital San Bartolom\u00e9 de Lima. El m\u00e9todo est\u00e1ndar de manejo de la aton\u00eda uterina en la ces\u00e1rea consiste en el masaje uterino, el empleo de agentes uterot\u00f3nicos ocitocina, prostaglandinas, ligadura de arterias uterinashipog\u00e1stricas y la histerectom\u00eda posparto. Las variables maternas y perinatales obtenidas de las historias cl\u00ednicas fueron ingresadas a una base de datos computarizado SPSS versi\u00f3n 10. Resultados: Se identific\u00f3 46 casos: en 30 se emple\u00f3 la t\u00e9cnica B-Lynch y en 16 el m\u00e9todo est\u00e1ndar. No hubo diferencias en las caracter\u00edsticas maternas entre ambos grupos. Late-season lodging is inversely related to the amount of cellulose in a unit length of the stem. Wheat is the most widely grown of all the crops globally, yet information on its CesA gene family is limited. We have identified 22 CesA genes from bread wheat, which include homoeologs from each of the three genomes, and named them as Ta CesAXA, Ta CesAXB or Ta CesAXD, where X denotes the gene number and the last suffix stands for the respective genome. Sequence analyses of the CESA proteins from wheat and their orthologs from barley, maize, rice, and several dicot species Arabidopsis, beet, cotton, poplar, potato, rose gum and soybean revealed motifs unique to monocots Poales or dicots. Novel structural motifs CQIC and SVICEXWFA were identified, which distinguished the CESAs involved in the formation of primary and secondary cell wall PCW and SCW in all the species. We also identified several new motifs specific to monocots or dicots. The conserved motifs identified in this study possibly play functional roles specific to PCW or SCW formation. The new insights from this study advance our knowledge about the structure, function and evolution of the CesA family in plants in general and wheat in particular. Full Text Available Las ra\u00ed ces de mangle son un importante h\u00e1bitat para muchas especies. Se estudi\u00f3 la abundancia y riqueza de moluscos y crust\u00e1ceos asociadas a las ra\u00ed ces sumergidas de Rhizophora mangle. Las muestras fueron recolectadas entre febrero 2005 y enero 2006, en la laguna de Bocaripo, costa norte del estado Sucre, Venezuela. Se establecieron cinco estaciones en la laguna; al azar en cada estaci\u00f3n se escogieron dos ra\u00ed ces de mangle, fueron introducidas en bolsas pl\u00e1sticas; los organismos fueron obtenidos de la ra\u00edz raspando la superficie con un cuchillo, luego fueron separados y fijados en formalina al 10 para su posterior identificaci\u00f3n. Se recolectaron 1 092 especimenes de moluscos, distribuidos en dos clases: Bivalvia y Gastropoda. La clase Bivalvia fue la m\u00e1s abundante con 943 individuos. La familia m\u00e1s representativa fue Mytilidae con 6 especies, siendo Musculus lateralis la especie dominante. Los crust\u00e1ceos estuvieron representados por 372 organismos, pertenecientes a la clase Malacostraca, donde Panopeus herbstii 169 ind. Fue la especie m\u00e1s abundante. Las familias Panopeidae, Porcellanidae y Majidae presentaron el mayor n\u00famero de especies. La m\u00e1xima abundancia se encontr\u00f3 en febrero 224 ind. O quadro cl\u00ednico depende das \u00e1reas anat\u00f4micas acometidas. As principais causas de morte s\u00e3o infec\u00e7\u00e3o, fal\u00eancia respirat\u00f3ria e estado de mal epil\u00e9ptico. Ocorre em pacientes geneticamente predispostos ap\u00f3s contato com fatores ambientais, principalmente os v\u00edrus. O objetivo desse relato foi apresentar a t\u00e9cnica anest\u00e9sica adotada em paciente com esclerose m\u00faltipla submetida \u00e0 cesariana. RELATO DO CASO: Paciente com 32 anos, 60 kg, portadora de esclerose m\u00faltipla, tratada com metilprednisolona, deu entrada no centro obst\u00e9trico para realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de cesariana. Ap\u00f3s monitora\u00e7\u00e3o foi realizada anestesia subaracn\u00f3idea com bupivaca\u00edna a 0,5 hiperb\u00e1rica 12,5 mg associada \u00e0 morfina 0,1 mg. O procedimento evoluiu sem intercorr\u00eancias e a paciente recebeu alta hospitalar 48 horas ap\u00f3s o parto sem piora dos sintomas preexistentes. Full Text Available Water resources play a vital role in human life and agriculture irrigation, especially for agriculture-dominant developing countries and regions. Improving agricultural water use efficiency has consequently become a key strategic choice. This study, based on Zhangye Citys economic characteristics and data, applies a static Computable General Equilibrium CGE model with a constant elasticity of substitution CES composited waterland resources account to assess the impact of improving agricultural water use efficiency on economy, water conservation and land reallocation. Results reveal that: Zhangye Citys GDP increases by 0.10 owing to an increasing average technical level by improving agricultural water use efficiency; total water consumption decreases by 122 million m3, 69 of which comes from a reduction of surface water use; and land demand increases by 257.43 hectares mainly due to agricultural land demands. With respect to the sectors output, export-oriented sectors with higher water intensities in the agricultural sectors benefit most. In contrast, land-intensive sectors contract the most, as the rental price of land rises. Therefore, agricultural water conservation technology should be introduced considering more in surface water.
